Ashley Thomas Velikokhatko

 M.A. LMHCA

Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate

Teens age 15+, Adults, Families

In-person and telehealth

As a Mental Health Counselor, I take a bio-psycho-social approach to therapy, recognizing that mental well-being is deeply interconnected with biological, psychological, social, and cultural factors. My therapeutic style is eclectic, with an emphasis on Person-Centered Therapy (PCT)

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

I view each individual’s struggles in the context of their life circumstances, relationships, and emotions, while maintaining sensitivity to cultural differences and identities. The overarching goal of counseling, in my view, is to help clients enhance their self-understanding, make sense of their life experiences, and develop practical coping skills that empower them toward greater psychological health and well-being.

I have supported clients experiencing a variety of concerns, including Anxiety and Depression, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Substance Use Disorder, Cultural and Racial Trauma, Stress Management and Resilience Building, Mindfulness and Emotional Regulation

Specialties and areas of interest:

anxiety, PTSD, codependency, family dynamics, parenting and coparenting, blended families, stress management, cultural and racial trauma, faith and spirituality, healing from narcissistic relationships,

Adults age 18+

Hi, I am Andrew and I enjoy helping men and women who may be experiencing anxiety, grief, PTSD, childhood trauma, anger, stress, relationship and communication issues, divorce recovery, narcissistic abuse and much more. If you have concerns about your relationship, aren't feeling like your best self, want to understand yourself better, heal from your past or losses, or are in need of feedback or support in making changes, please reach out! I can also offer a faith based approach to any patient who desires to include their faith into their therapy experience.

I provide an empathetic and non judgemental atmosphere to help patients explore complicated life situations and build resilience and hope for the future.
